Galileo Church

We seek and shelter spiritual refugees, rally health for all who come, and fortify every tender soul with the strength to follow Jesus into a life of world-changing service.

OUR MISSIONAL PRIORITIES:

1. We do justice for LGBTQ+ humans, and support the people who love them.

2. We do kindness for people with mental illness and in emotional distress, and celebrate neurodiversity.

3. We do beauty for our God-Who-Is-Beautiful.

4. We do real relationship, no bullshit, ever.

5. We do whatever it takes to share this good news with the world God still loves.

What are “hosts”?

A livestream host from Galileo Church Fort Worth facilitates the livestream worship experience each week. Here are some of the things they’re doing:

  • Hosts are monitoring the conversation in the group chat to make sure everyone is respectful and kind. To maintain the safety of that virtual space, the host may move a participant to a private chat within the streaming platform.

  • Hosts are announcing ways you can deepen your connection to what’s happening. They can help you find tonight’s worship playlist on Spotify; invite you to share prayer concerns through a public or private form; remind you to sign up for our e-newsletter with a click; help you let us know you’re here; and more!

  • Hosts are praying for you—in the meta-sense of praying for everyone who finds Galileo Church through the worship livestream, and in more specific ways if you let them know how. If they become aware that you have emergent need of help, i.e. you’re in danger of harm from self or others, they’ll seek appropriate assistance from your local helping agencies.

  • Hosts are listening for your wisdom about how Galileo Church Inside Out can be better, and how you’d like to be involved in its evolution. We’re hoping that you’ll see yourself as a full participant in our life together, including the discernment of our future work in this world God still loves.
