Hello, my name is…
Maybe you worship with us online via Inside Out, and you want the church in Fort Worth to know who you are. Or maybe you’re local to Fort Worth, and you want to introduce yourself to distant Inside Out worshippers. Either way, we would love to see an Inside Out Intro from you!
Videos should be 60 seconds or less.
Here is a basic script to use:
--Hi church, my name is ___, my pronouns are ___.
--I’ve been coming to Galileo Church for X months/years.
--I live and/or worship ____ [city, state, or region] (with ___ [family? Roommate? Pet?])
--Welcome to my living room/favorite coffee shop/passenger seat!
--It’s a joy/honor/[whatever your actual feelings are] to be in worship with you on the livestream.
--Peace.
You could change up some lines here and there. But mostly, we just want to get to know your names and faces.
Here are some tips for recording:
--use a wide shot, not a tall shot. Landscape, not portrait. So, turn your phone sideways.
--record yourself speaking for a few seconds first—standing where you want to stand, with the camera where you want it to be. Make sure the sound is ok before you record the whole thing.
--don’t overthink it. If you were doing it live, there would be mistakes here and there. If you say the wrong thing and have to correct yourself, don’t feel like you need to re-record. It’s ok.
Once you are finished, ask Remi for a link to our shared Google drive for upload (or just send Remi your video).
